Sharing and Smiling
Sep 19, 2024
We are social creatures, us human beings. When we are at work, amongst friends, or visiting a supermarket, we are part of a social system.
It is not uncommon to greet strangers we pass in the street, meet in an elevator, or give us the right of way in traffic. And through social media, we can be in touch with the rest of the world.
Thumbs up
It always brightens our day when people reach out or share online that they had a pleasant workout with Vortza. Someone who had a long yet easy workout while listening to a podcast, or someone else who ran their first marathon.
'Sharing is caring' is indeed the perfect phrase to describe this. The Dutch equivalent is 'delen is lief,’ which can be translated as 'sharing is sweet.' And it is exactly that, isn't it? A nice pat on the back from a fellow athlete with whom you are friends on the Internet is just like the reports we get from Vortza users; it brings a smile to our faces. As human beings, we feel appreciated by others.
Admittedly, it also keeps us motivated if we happen to struggle when the computer says no at Vortza HQ.
Hello World
For those of you who like to share your goals, activities, and achievements with your (running) friends, your life has now become much easier. Let us explain the new features that are available in the Vortza app!
After setting a new goal, improve your commitment to it by sharing with your network on the new goal summary screen:
If you already have a goal set, you can share it also from your profile. And finally, you can share a workout by selecting the activity from the Progress page:
The graph of your workout shows the intervals with their height representing the prescribed heart rate (intensity). The horizontal lines represent your observed heart rate during the performed workout intervals based on your heart rate data. A good performed workout is where the lines and the top of the prescribed intervals align at the same height.
Feel free to virtually shout it from the rooftops, because why wouldn't you?! And if you have got a highlight to show or want to let us know what your thoughts are on this new feature: don't hesitate and say hello https://www.instagram.com/vortza/.
